Curriculum

How We Teach

Play-based, purposeful, and built around how young children actually learn.

Learning Through Play

At Alphabet Academy, we don’t believe in worksheets for toddlers or flashcards for infants. Our curriculum is built on decades of early childhood research: children learn best through play, exploration, and relationships.

Every activity is designed with developmental goals in mind — but to your child, it just feels like fun.

Building Every Foundation

Our curriculum covers every area of early development, with age-appropriate activities that grow with your child.

Cognitive Development

Problem-solving, critical thinking, early math concepts, cause and effect, and scientific exploration through hands-on activities.

Language & Literacy

Vocabulary building, storytelling, phonemic awareness, early writing, and daily read-alouds that build a love of books.

Social-Emotional

Self-regulation, empathy, conflict resolution, friendship skills, and building the confidence to try new things.

Physical Development

Fine motor skills through art and manipulatives, gross motor development through active play, and body awareness activities.

Creative Expression

Open-ended art, music, dramatic play, and storytelling that encourage imagination and self-expression.

STEM Exploration

Age-appropriate science experiments, building challenges, nature exploration, and early coding concepts for older learners.

A Day at Alphabet Academy

Our daily schedule balances structured learning with free play, quiet time with active exploration. Each day includes circle time, small-group activities, outdoor play, meals and snacks, and individualized learning moments.

We follow consistent routines that help children feel secure while building independence — and every transition is an opportunity to learn.

What Families Are Saying

We appreciate everything that you’ve done for K. He started off as an angry and confused little guy and did not know what it was like to be a friend or participate with a class. He has never been rushed, and you have always met him where he was at that time. We have watched our wary and hesitant boy slowly join in on class dance parties, make a few best friends and grow into that silly personality that we never expected from him.

Our son loves going to Alphabet Academy! All of his teachers have been so caring and attentive. The director and staff do a great job communicating with parents and sharing what our son does throughout the day. We’ve had a great experience and recommend Alphabet Academy for daycare and preschool!

So glad my friend told me about this school! My toddler loves her teachers and classmates. My kid now talks about going to her preschool class every morning, what classmates she’ll see and activities she will do. As a parent I love to see the healthy snacks and lunches they provide. My 5 month old joins her older sister there, developing and hitting her milestones with the help of the infant room teachers.

My son has been going to the daycare since he was six weeks old. He is now three and I absolutely love the daycare. Everyone has always been so helpful with numerous things involving my child. The staff is so friendly and helpful and I feel like it’s a family there. I recommend this daycare for sure!

I’ve had my kids there for 4+ years and watching them grow has been great. The teachers care so much for each, individual child like they’re their own!
